The Priory

TUDOR SPLENDOUR

The 900 year old Priory at Halberton in Devon has recently been restored and has become a new and exciting venue for courses. They combine hospitality, tranquillity and beauty with their wish not to be just green in outlook, not just to be ‘organic’ and traditionally pure, but to be the deepest green and encompass the fairest of trade. This fits well with my own personal philosophy of being environmentally conscious. The course I will be running is called Tudor Splendour. This is an ideal location for making a book which has a historic feel.

Students will learn how to transform simple, ordinary pieces of recycled material and paper - using a selection of mediums - to create a wonderfully rich book, with an organic, textured cover.
